Yesterday I got my December Birchbox in the mail. I’m actually thinking about taking a break from Birchbox because I have a hoard of samples sitting in my closet that need to be used. Also, my fiance might have given my a intervention and called me out on all the samples I have. haha. I’m not overly excited about this box, but not disappointed either. Just meh.
Here is what I got:
I’ve been seeing a lot of advertisements for Benefits cosmetics, Popsugar gave away POREfessional and the Benefits bronzer kit, and now Birchbox included eye cream in their box. They are doing a great job with getting their name out there.
Kerastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique- $2.20 for .34 oz, $33.00 for 5.1 oz.
The Juicy Couture perfume isn’t that bad! I normally never like the perfumes Birchbox sends, but this one is nice and light. The shampoo packets are great since I travel a lot.
I love the lip gloss! It doesn’t dry out my lips or feel gritty. It’s a nice sheer pink color and the mirror on the side makes it perfect for a purse lip gloss.
We also received a coupon code for Rent the Runway for $50 dollars of $125 dress rental. I might or might not use this depending if there is an occasion to use by the expiration date of 2.28.2013.
This was my lifestyle extra, it was a mint chocolate flavor fortune cookie. It was pretty yummy, but I don;t think I would ever buy a whole box of these, considering I could just dip fortune cookies in chocolate myself. Maybe as a gift it would be nice.
The total value of this box was: $27.27. I feel like Birchbox has been lowering their total value of each box a little every month. I’m kind of glad to be taking a break from them and hoping to see more from them soon!
