Hey guys, my name is Nidhi and I’m from An Unblurred Lady

When Hetal reached out to me on guest posting a Spring Transition look I was delighted.  Something I struggle with is being season appropriate and the unpredictable Georgia weather does not make the transition easy. To paint a picture for y’all, here is what I’ve been dealing with weather wise. This past week we were hit with crippling ice, snow and an earthquake! Today, I’m basking in the sun wearing a skirt! The weather is just super bizarre. My thought process whilst styling this look…

What is today’s weather forecast?
Sunny and a high of 62 degrees.

What comes to mind when you think of spring?
Pastel colors and floral prints!

What about with thoughts of winter?
Bold, rich colors and layers.

After asking myself these questions I thought of how to combine my favorite elements of winter and spring and here is the look I came up with…

This top is perfect for spring. Floral and mint, two qualities I feel are indicative of the season! I thought the color looked great with this deep olive skirt. Also, the smartest way to dress in the transition season is to layer. Mornings tend to be freezing and afternoons need the air conditioner, so I threw on this neutral cardigan for warmth and it can easily be taken off when the temperatures rise.

Aside from taking advantage of prints, colors and layering, here are a few other ways to bring in spring!

  • Scarves! Try adding a bright patterned scarf to an otherwise plain winter outfit to create warmth, not just physically but visually as well. There are countless textures and patterns that scream spring and there are unlimited ways to tie them (it’s a vital spring accessory).
  • Cropped Pants! Not so much the awkward length capris, a pair of cropped pants will show just the right amount of ankle. Try rolling up skinny jeans and pair with some booties, pumps or flats.
  • Booties/Cowboy Boots! I LOVE the details a pair of cowboy boots brings to an outfit. They can be worn with a dress or on top of jeans. Riding boots remind me of cold weather, so cowboy boots are my warm weather replacement.

I hope y’all enjoy bring in the spring.
