A good cup of chai can fix any problem, but a good cup chai and a good tea biscuit can turn any crappy day better! For me, I have a couple of tea accompaniments that I love, Parle G biscuits and cake rusk. Cake rusk is like biscotti, but instead of twice-baked cookies, it’s twice-baked yellow cake. It’s super buttery and soaks up chai without falling apart! Continue Reading “Thandai Cake Rusks”
Lately, I’ve been seeing scones EVERYWHERE. Foodgawker, Pinterest, Instagram, everywhere! I seriously think scones are having a comeback and are trending! And to be honest, I’m not hating it. I’ve always been a huge fan of having a scone with some tea/chai. They’re sweet, but not too sweet and that crumbly buttery texture just does it for me. Continue Reading “Pear and Cardamom Scones”
I took people’s advice from my last post about my cooking dry spell and starting reading more cookbooks and browsing Pinterest. Pull-apart bread has been all over Pinterest for a while, but recently I started seeing it in a loaf form! I’ve been having a cooking dry spell. I don’t know what it is. I haven’t had too much inspiration to cook at home and I’m not sure why! I think part of it might be that my husband is in NYC for work now and I’m too lazy to cook for just me. Today I decided to get up and get back at it. I figured if I give it a go, it might spark something! Continue Reading “Lemon Olive Oil Cornmeal Muffins”
For a really long time, I hated granola. I just likened it to bland, dry, wood chips. I honestly think it’s because I’ve only ever had store-bought granola. It wasn’t until recently that I was introduced to good homemade granola. Perfectly roasted nuts mixed with crunchy seeds and oatmeal that is just slightly sweetened. I could eat the homemade stuff all day! Continue Reading “Chai Maple Granola”
